All of our CrossFit Group Classes are coach-led and follow a planned progression roughly 60 minutes in duration

Mike Pecenka

Coach & Owner

Qualifications

  • Mike joined Revere CrossFit as a founding member in 2014, started coaching in 2017, and became owner in 2019.  In his previous career, he helped individuals and institutions manage investments.  Despite years of study, Mike’s Spanish is comparable to that of a toddler.  He is an enthusiastic (albeit, slow at times) learner, who has infinite patience for people that are trying to learn the language of CrossFit fitness.  Mike is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and is American Red Cross Certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

Gabby Douriet

Coach

Qualifications

  • Gabby joined Revere CrossFit in 2016, and became a coach in 2017.  In addition to coaching, Gabby is an experienced childcare professional provider, and is also a Mom to two handsome boys who give her plenty of opportunity for cardio workouts at home.  She is bi-lingual in Spanish and English.  She is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer who is passionate about helping individuals reach their health and fitness goals.

Samantha Russo

Coach

Qualifications

  • Sam (aka Samantha) came to us in 2018 from CrossFit103 in New York.  Before moving to Massachusetts to be a Physical Education teacher by day and CrossFit coach by night, Sam was a NCAA Division I Diving Coach who loved creating core workouts for her athletes.  Sam took over programming at the gym earlier this year, which gave her a platform for implementing an infinite variety of ab work.  In addition to being certified in first aid, Sam is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and Registered Dietitian.  She loves to talk nutrition and fitness with members of Revere CrossFit.

Heidi Lara

Coach

Qualifications

  • Heidi joined Revere CrossFit in 2014, and started coaching in 2015.  After several years of full-time coaching, she took a break to learn a trade.  She now spends her days finishing drywall, which has only increased her fitness capability!  Happily, Heidi is back at RCF, subbing and advising.  Heidi has the unique ability of identifying and applying the coaching persona that drives the best results for a given athlete, be it drill sergeant, cheerleader, or Mr. Rogers.  She is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.

Kim Vetere

Coach

Qualifications

  • Kim joined Revere CrossFit in 2016, and started coaching in 2019.  As a longtime resident, she is our expert on all things Revere.  In addition to being spouse, coach, athlete, sales representative, and primary care provider of two Siberian Huskies, her role as mother takes center stage.  Kim is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and is American Red Cross Certified in Adult CPR/AED.
